Altin will be joining David Mesquitic’s quintet for his residency at Nocturne in Denver, CO! Join them for a night of music featuring Altin and vocalist Tatiana LadyMay.
Altin will be a guest artist for the 2026 spring season at Interlochen School of the Arts Jazz Studies Area. He will be giving clinics to ensembles, lessons to the trombonists, as well as playing along side the students.
Altin will be appearing as this years guest artist for the Texas A&M University Corpus Christi Annual Jazz Festival. He will be working with multiple participating bands as well as being a guest soloist with the TAMUCC jazz orchestra under the direction of Dr. Matthew York!
Altin will be returning to Nocturne for a special Sunday show with several of Colorado’s best. This Sunday set is kicking off spring break and we hope you can join this fantastic quintet to start your spring break!

The Thompson Jazz Studies Program will be having their combo concert featuring all 8 combos from the CU Boulder Thompson Jazz Studies Program. This will take place in Grusin Hall and room S134 within the IMIG Music Building.
Altin alongside his CU Boulder Thompson Jazz Studies colleague, Annie Booth will be guest artists for the Monarch High School’s Spring Jazz Concert!
Altin will be collaborating with Ulysses Owens Jr big band and bassist Michael Olatuja playing at the renowned Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center to play music from the Afro Beat tradition. Join the big band on March 6th & 7th!

Altin alongside his CU Boulder Thompson Jazz Studies colleague, Annie Booth will be giving a masterclass to Monarch High School’s Jazz Ensemble.
With a month full of educational presentations and workshops, Altin caps off the month of February by joining the Kansas Music Educators Association to serve as a clinician offering his expertise to the young minds attending the convention.
Altin will be joining his mentor Michael Dease along with an entire cast of all-star musicians to serve as adjudicator for the University of Wyoming’s Jazz Festival.
Guest artists//adjudicators will be offering INSTRUMENT SPECIFIC MASTERCLASSES from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
With the release of his latest record on the horizon, Altin will be joining forces with a powerhouse rhythm section playing some of his latest originals and takes on popular standards with a latin twist to them.

Altin is looking forward to returning to his old stomping grounds as he’ll be giving a very special presentation at the world famous TMEA convention.
Entitled: Transcriptions and How to Go Beyond Listening; this presentation will highlight ways in which students can go beyond just copying the notes on a surface level — but how they can more effectively digest their transcriptions and assimilate into their own playing.
As we enter the long awaited yearly season for collegiate auditions, Altin is eager to hear all the wonderful young minds headed over to CU Boulder. Good luck to all of those who are auditioning!
Celebrating the legendary Miles Davis and John Coltrane x 100 years, Altin will be joining the CJRO Big Band for a special one night Denver Jazz-Fest preview performance highlighting works from both pillars of the music.

A fan of collaboration, Altin will be joining the CU Trombone Choir directed by Assistant Professor of Trombone, Dr. Sterling Tanner. Altin will be featured on the “Green Hornet” alongside the trombone choir. The concert will take place at the College of Music in IMIG S134.
